Rhythm is everything.
The oval that frames the entrance doesn’t appear once, it recurs, contracts, expands, fragments. The same form becomes a wall panel, a floor object, a table base, a cutout that frames the interior like a viewfinder. A visual pulse that moves through the space the way a motif moves through a score.
Sound as architecture
NOCOD designed an installation where sound is consubstantial to the architecture: not a soundtrack added to a space, but a force that gives the space its reason for existing.
Symmetry and rupture
The plan is circular. Symmetry exists, and is broken precisely enough to generate tension. The interruptions are calculated: they reset the rhythm, force re-engagement, keep the space alive.
A tactile environment
Oiled oak — warm, alive under the hand. Thick wool underfoot that slows the pace. Then: brushed metal, then chrome, reflective, sharp. The alternation between matte and polished, warm and cool, rough and precise is not decorative, it is the composition.
