The Safari Chair by NOCOD Studio is a contemporary reinterpretation of a design archetype. More than a simple seat, this piece is an exploration of the complex relationship between man and nature, translating a « wild » imagination into a sophisticated collectible design object.
A Chimera of Wood and Leather

We approached the history of the safari chair as a design methodology. Far beyond the anecdote, our armchair stands like a chimera, conveying a formal ambiguity where animal references hybridize with plant forms. The tension is palpable: the structure evokes a warrior’s stance, while the leather acts as protective armor. It is a « wild chair » tamed by exceptional craftsmanship.

Materiality & Craftsmanship

Handcrafted in France, the Safari Chair creates a dialogue between two noble materials:

Waxed Walnut: Sculpted to evoke organic, almost skeletal forms.

Saddle Leather: Used for its structural strength and sensory richness.
